The 80-year campaign for suffrage may have started in Seneca Falls, New York, but many of the early strides and some of the major players had mid-western roots. Diana B. Carlin, professor emerita of communication at Saint Louis University, will discuss the milestones achieved by women from the heartland
that were ahead of the nation’s passage of full voting rights.
