Hard One, Not Done

A commemoration of the 100-Year Anniversary of the Ratification of the 19th Amendment from an Iowa Perspective

CENTURY OF IMPACT: A CENTENNIAL HISTORY OF THE LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS OF IOWA

A project of the Johnson County League will highlight the legislation that the League alone (or in collaboration with other organizations) was successful in getting passed across the last 100 years, based on their positions on children and families, education, the environment, good government, human rights, and voting rights. Since the League is a three-level organization (national, state and local) the study and action of local Iowa Leagues will also be shared. Some of the book’s content will be produced in podcasts as part of the League’s commitment to informed citizen voting and individual advocacy.
