In celebration of 100 Years of Achievements for Women, we have invited Jane Cox of Ames to perform "The Yellow Rose of Suffrage". The evening's program will feature an hour-long excerpt from a one-woman play about Carrie Chapman Catt. This will give audience members a glimpse into the life of Iowan Carrie Chapman Catt, who blazed a trail for women that is being celebrated 100 years later. She created the League of Women Voters on February 14, 1920, and led the charge toward the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which on August 18, 1920, gave women the right to vote.

Proceeds from this event will be directed to the S.H.E. COUNTS Endowment Fund and will be used to provide a $500 renewable scholarship to a graduating student who is the first in her family to attend college.

Tickets on sale February 10th. Tickets are $25 and will be for sale at the Grinnell Chamber of Commerce, the Drake Community Library, on Eventbrite and from S.H.E. COUNTS Board Members: Delphina Baumann, Alicia Blankenfeld, Rachel Bly, Darcy Dawson, Julie Gosselink, Liz Hansen, Emma Kelty-Stephen,
