IOWA HISTORICAL SITE SIGNAGE AND VOTES FOR WOMEN NATIONAL TRAIL

As part of the Votes for Women National Trail committee, the Iowa Department of Human Rights’ Office on the Status of Women is researching historical suffrage sites throughout Iowa and adding those sites to a national online database of historical suffrage sites throughout the United States. As an extension of this project, the Office on the Status of Women is also determining where (and if) signage of significant 19th Amendment-related historical events and sites could be placed in Iowa. For more information about this project, visit: http://ncwhs.org/index.php/projects/trails/293-votes-for-women-trail.
